Privacy Policy for Depressometer

Last updated: 7 October 2026
Depressometer is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not measure or detect depression. It is a playful, entertainment-focused mood scanner. Do not rely on it for any health decision.

1. Who we are

Depressometer (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an Android application distributed on Google Play. This policy explains what information the app processes, why, and the choices you have. By installing or using the app you agree to this policy.

2. Information the app processes on your device

We do not operate a server that receives your scans, scores, photos or personal details. Deleting the app removes the locally stored data described above.

3. Permissions and why we ask for them

4. Advertising and third parties

To keep the app free, the app shows optional rewarded video ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and app information, and ad interaction data. This processing is controlled by Google, not by us, and is used for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not receive your photos or your face data.

5. Children

Depressometer is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help you remove locally stored data.

6. Data retention

Scan history, points and preferences stay on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app. We retain nothing on our systems because we do not collect it.

7. Your choices and rights

8. Security

All face processing happens on-device. We do not transmit or store your images. Network traffic for ads is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) by the advertising SDK.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.

10. Contact
